Overview

This extension monitors the basics of the Alibaba Cloud.

This is intended for users, who want to monitor foundation of their Alibaba Cloud, including:

• ECS
• SLB
• NAS
• NAT Gateway
• CEN
• VPN Services

This extension does not cover every single service available on Alibaba Cloud.

Use cases

This extension enables you to:

• Monitor health and performance of the Alibaba Cloud
• Focusing on compute, storage and networking foundation of your Alibaba Cloud
• Ingest Tags et use them in Dynatrace Platform

Get started

This extension is executed by the ActiveGate (remote monitoring). You need to have an ActiveGate provisioned in your environment and networking set up so the ActiveGate can connect to the Alibaba Cloud tenant you are about to monitor.

To start, activate the extension in your environment using the in-product Hub. Then provide your AlibabaCoud monitoring endpoint whereabouts. You will need to provide:

• Region ID (https://www.alibabacloud.com/help/en/cloud-migration-guide-for-beginners/latest/regions-and-zones#concept-nwo-3ho-q3v)
• access-key-id & access-key-secret (or the associated Dynatrace Vault)

To ingest tags you need to provide a Dynatrace Token with following scope :

• entities.read
